Remembering Milo Anderson
I ran across this old photo of Milo Anderson taken in 2000. He had a witty sense of humor and was always ready for a spirited debate if you disagreed with his side of the aisle. But you always left the bar as friends. Here is to you Milo!

Remembering Val Martinez
A memorial service will be held for Valentin Martinez who was
Governor of the West Sacramento Lodge in 2000-01. Many
people will remember Val's candid sense of humor and also
his great Mexican dinners.
MARTINEZ, Valentin K.
Born May 14, 1927 and passed away July 16, 2008. Preceded in death by his mother, Erminia Kelly and his father Valentin G. Martinez, brothers Simon, John, Leonard, Manuel, and Richard, sisters Connie, Mary Ellen, and Soledad. He is survived by his daughters Valerie and Laurie, 4 grandkids, brothers Mike, George, Robert, Carlos, Fidel, sisters Lupe and Hope. Val was a WWII Navy veteran, one of 10 Martinez boys who served this country proudly. Val worked for Campbell Soup for over 40 years and was a member of the Moose Lodge and Rite, California. He will be missed by many of his friends, neighbors, and his family. He was a lifetime resident, in his heart, of Gardenland. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 25th, 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1321 Anna St., West Sacramento. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Tommy Moose presented to West Sacramento Fire Fighters
West Sacramento Fire Fighters were honored at brunch held in their honor
on Sunday. The Lodge and Chapter also presented them a supply of Tommy
Moose stuffed animals to use in their relief efforts for children that are victims
of trauma. Junior Graduate Regent Teri Ganz and Junior Regent Barbara Smith
pose with two of our guest fire fighters along with a Tommy Moose.
