The Kid's Halloween Party was a great success this year. Mauda and her team (Francine, Boe, Earl, Neva, Christy, Barbara, Kim) did a great job and the kids and parents really had a great time.

Academy of Friendship Holiday Bazaar

at the annual Academy of Friendship Holiday Bazaar, November 15 & 16,

Improvements Underway!!

Many thanks to Ignacio "Nos" Rodriguez who has been working
his tail off this week helping the Board out with updating the Lodge
Home's lighting and electrical system and other repairs in the Social
Quarters. Members like Nos are the life blood of the Moose and we
really appreciate him donating his time and talents!

Wing Night with the "Hot Mamas"

Christy, Barbara L, Debbie and Barbara S. (aka The Hot Mamas) were cooking
Hot, Honey-BBQ and Teriyaki Chicken wings on Friday Night; followed by a roudy
game of Left -Right-Center it was a great evening!

Volunteers are Honored

Theresa Lara and Neva May were honored as co-workers of the month for
August and September 2008. Congratulations to you gals for donating your time
for our Chapter and Lodge.

The 2nd Annual (1st for Mary Ethel) Memorial Golf Tournament 2008

Thanks to Tammy Mattos (in her special Golf Glasses) and her great crew of volunteers for making the first annual Mary Ethel Nelson Memorial Golf Tournament such a huge success.

West Sacramento: A "kid friendly" lodge

Governor Monte McCray and the Joint Board of Officers have been working hard
to make our Lodge home and activities more "Kid Friendly". You might have noticed
the new Nintendo Game Cube Corner is now available for the kids and the
playground will soon be more than just talk. If you've been out for our functions
lately you'll notice how we are are not just "talking the talk" about making our
Lodge a real "Family Center"!

Brittany presented with Spinoza Bear

Mauda presented Brittany with a Spinoza Bear on behalf of the chapter. Brittany has been staying at Kiawanis House during her chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
