RIP Brother Richard Huber. Rich was named a Shining Star, Moose Legionnaire of the Year, by the Mighty California Moose Legion 190 in 2009/2010, and received the Moose Legion Top Sponsor Award in 2009. Rich served as Governor of the West Sacramento Lodge in 1992-1993 and has continued to serve as a District Officer over the years. He will always be remembered for his long time support for many programs in the Moose especially the Kid's Fishing Derby, The Mighty 190 Moose Legion and the MooseHoppers Campers Club. In accordance to Rich's wishes there will be no funeral service. Rich wanted to be cremated and have his brother take his ashes to the family plot in Montana to rest next to his father. A memorial service performed by Rich's friends and Legion Fellows will be scheduled for a later date. The photo on the left is from Rich's birthday in 2005 with his wife Linda.

HUBER, Richard John
Quietly passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 due to complications after surgery. Owner of A-1 Lock & Supply on Franklin Blvd for 31 years.
Born in Glendive Montana 12-29-1947. Preceded in death by his parents John & Hulda & his sister Judy. Leaves behind his best friend & bride for 28 years Linda, son Jarriod, brother Duane (Carolyn), sister Jane, niece Michelle (Gary; daughters Skyler & Charlie) niece Brandee (son Jordan) several aunts, uncles, cousins, brother-in-law Craig Jensen, nephew Jason Jensen & many wonderful buddies and friends.
Member of Loyal Order of Moose, Moose Legion, American Legion, Elks, AMVETS & NRA. Loved hunting, fishing, shooting, Moosehopper camping, reading, a nightly toddy, old time country music, helping children in need & chatting about the good old days.
Proud to have served in USAF. There will not be a memorial service. Rich's ashes will be taken back to Montana & placed on the Huber Family Farm beside his father. Rich did not want a lot of fuss; just wanted his friends to know he appreciated you all, loved his family dearly & to be remembered fondly.
Rest In Peace Dear - you were always my love, my light and my 'Shining Star'.

Rich Huber was the governor of the Lodge when Tom and I became members. One of the first big events that we participated in was the big wedding: Rich and Linda were married in the back yard of the Lodge and it was beautiful~ Seems like we are losing so many of the old-time members and it makes me sad!
